This is a really good book with some excellent projects. However, Chris Porter fans should be aware that this is in fact her first book reissued under a different title and with a different cover - so if you already have Quilt Designs from Decorative Floor Tiles, this one is not for you!

This is a must for any quilter! A feast for the eyes and packed with ideas that make your fingers itch to get out your rotary cutter and raid your stash.

I will never again view a tiled floor the same way, a whole new world of wonderful quilts has been opened up.

I suspect its not going to be easy to produce the same results, but I also suspect the effort will be well rewarded.

A beautiful book.

I first came across this gorgeous book some years ago and missed out on buying it then. Now it has been retitled and revamped a little although the basics are still there.

This is NOT a book for a beginner to learn quilting with, although a newcomer to the craft would love the designs and inspirations. You need to know the basic terminology and techniques first as Christine doesn't waste valuable space by giving detailed tuition.

Using ideas and inspirations from tiled floors, she designs quilts of varying difficulty. She also shows how 'playing around' with the colours and colour values from the original floor tiles can add new dimensions to the design.

Perfect for someone who likes the geometric 'block' style of quiltmaking. Ideal for someone with their own Victorian tiled floor at home (lucky them!). Excellent as part of a teaching course on design, art or quilting.

Christine Porter is a big name in quilting books and it shows. Her text is easy to read, her instructions are easy to follow and the photographs and diagrams are large and clear. A wonderful treat for yourself or a gift that will be warmly received by a keen quilter. Highly recommended.

This is a very inspirational book and Christine porter is fantastic as a tutor. I have done several workshops with her and all have been very successful. The book has lots of very interesting items and I look forward to exploring it further. I have several of Christine porter books and this one does not disappoint.

This product was advertised as new and it was very cheap. However the sellers failed to point out that the book was bound incorrectly. The back eight leaves had in fact been bound at the front. Therefore although the book was indeed new it was imperfect and the sellers should have pointed this out.

I love this book and Christine's other tile book. Bought second hand, well worth the money and in great condition.
