I got this book out of the library and then just had to buy it! It includes some really straightforward projects which are easy to complete (I am known for starting craft projects and never finishing them!)

The peg bag is really simple and I completed one over the weekend and am starting another - loads of great ideas for useful, personal, handmade presents. By the way, I'm no skilled sewer - the instructions help it all to come together perfectly.

On the downside I'd agree with other reviews that needing to enlarge the patterns to 200% is a pain but do-able.

All in all though a great book which has renewed my faith in myself to start and actually finish projects!

This book provides colourful projects for basic skill levels.
It has nothing for the more experienced needlewoman, looking for more of a challenge.
What a pity sewing books are not rated according to level. It would be easier to chose correctly.
Having said that, there are one or two of the projects which are very appealing, and show that this author has good design skills.

A lovely presented book and lovely photograpy and bueatifull Ideas,

It is let down by the patterns in the back of the book having to be enlarged by 200%

I am sure most poeple would be willing to pay a bit more if the patterns were full sized and ready to use.

Such a shame that this lets the book down

Always love Mandy's books, no children in family to do stuff for, but lovely projects and nice clear explanations, with measurements given. Quirky way of making stuff, to start with, as I have been quilting etc for over 47 years I thought "THAT won't work" - but you have to have faith because IT DOES!!!!

I have had this book for quite a while, it is fab, lots of great projects. My quilt club had a go at the front cover quilt and everyone enjoyed doing it, all achieved the topper in the day. I love the chicken place mate and will get round to having a go. There is something for everyone in this book.

This book is superbly written and easy to understand and follow instructions make it useful for both the novice patchworker or sewer and the experienced. I have followed Mandy Shaw to Dandelion Designs and subsequently bought two of her patterns as a result!

Very good book to own. I had seen some of the finished projects at a local Quilt show - I managed to get the book from the library - liked it so much - I bought it. Very clear instructions, good diagrams and photographs.
