Having just started theological training, I found this book to be a very good introduction into the world of liturgical worship. The author has been involved in the Church of England's Common Worship liturgy for many years and has written many books on the subject. It's not a heavyweight tome in either size nor style of writing; highly recommended not just for students but also for churchgoers who are interested in why we do the things we do.
Amazon - would have liked it to be available on Kindle :)

The book is a valuable vehicle for those in ministerial formation, both lay and ordained, in facilitating those liminal moments in worship.
Easy reading and highly usable. Suitable for individual study and for use in groups of 2 or 3 (on a Monday morning). Embracing the diversity of church traditions and inclusive in its approach.
The section on mission provides a theological framework for the juxtaposition of worship and contemporary culture.
If this book were a Burton suit- it would be classed as a premium quality post-modern style.
Whats orrcurin in this book comes highly recommended by Bert & Albert. This review is contextual!
