A delightful dip into the world of the Georgians.
This book accompanies the British Library's exhibition about the lift and times of the Georgians. As such the book aims to provide a visual reference of some of the sumptuous books, pictures and paintings displayed -the text is there to annotate rather than provide an in depth explanation. As a history enthusiast I loved this book, it doesn't provide immense detail but it is highly engaging and a most for anyone interested in the 18th century.

This fantastic exhibition at the British Library really brought the ideas behind the Georgian way of life vividly to the forefront. The accompanying book looked in-depth at the exhibition only had limited space to cover.
This is a fabulous addition to anyone's library if they are interested in the Georgian Period. Especially as the slant was more towards the early Georgian rather than, the more familiar, later Georgian.
