This review is from: London Transport in the 1930s: No. 5 (Hardcover)
This is a great book for all those interested in the history of London's transport. There are some excellent photos (many of which I have not seen before). My only (minor) criticism is that the book is too short and glosses over many important events. The 1930s were a tremenedous era of change for London and it's buses, trams and tube railways, possibly more so than any othere decade of the 20th century. The tube extensions (for example) which were planned and started in the early 1930s are given little space in this book. Some of the text is a little curious, for example the author devotes a section to a discription of his Aunt and her family in Pinner! However this is still a very good publication for historians and enthusiasts alike.
