5.0 out of 5 stars An in-depth look at relationships and their affects on life., 1 Aug 1999
By A Customer
MY FRIEND SASHIE is as wonderfully written as the rest of Ms. Duncan's other books. The reader will find it almost impossible to put this down as they explore SASHIE and JANET'S past with them. This book immediately follows MY FRIEND THE SWALLOW in which TWICE, JANET'S husband dies. This is the aftermath of that and its effect on JANET. There is a high degree of humor along with her usual way of seeing complexities clearly. For those who have met SASHIE in other novels you will enjoy learning more about him and his childhood. If you haven't read of these people before you'll find you want more.

This review is from: My Friend Sashie (Hardcover)
Janet and Twice in the West Indies, for his work...I do feel they should have moved just about anywhere else but it makes for interesting reading. Sashie is a wonderful character, so brave. I'm looking forward to reading this book again shortly...her writing style is so easy to read.
