5.0 out of 5 stars If You Want A Book To Make You Laugh and Cry...READ THIS
The book is written from the 3rd person and tells the true account of the Falklands War from the point of view of reporters who went out with the troops to the conflict. Brilliant, funny, moving, poignant, sad and the ultimate tribute to the British men and women who serve in the Armed Forces.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 10 May 2012
This review is from: Don't Cry for Me, Sergeant-Major (Paperback)
I read this book while flying out to start my tour of duty on the Falklands during the 20th anniversary. Visiting the various key points after reading this book made the experience more profound.
Written so well, it is the funniest account of horrific events. Without doubt still the best true story I have ever read.
That's why I'm buying it again, just to re-read it.

I bought this book 18 years ago.
I must have read it at least once every year since. the humour is spot on(I should know, I was as squaddie)and it is beautifuly written.
It will make you laugh and it will make you cry on the next page before making you split your sides again.
I recommend EVERY wanna be soldier is given a copy.
