This is a great body of work and full of fascinating information about hair. I love that Cox has treated this subject academically and not just rabbited on about nonsense. You learn lots from this book and it's evident that lots of hard work has gone into it.

I was looking into the advance in technology within the hair industry and this book was a cheap alternative to the really expensive books out there. It is not a huge amount of information but does have some interesting bits in it.

Really for someone who is interested in a small amount of the historu of hairdressing and how certain things come to be part of...
