This is a very good, but very detail textbook of neonatology. I would recommend this book to students that have a specific topic in mind as a reference only and not as a book that gives a basic overview with some detail. The book is very well written and provides the both a wide range of topics in neonatology. The book also comes with Expert Consult, which is similar to the Student Consult, but as the name suggests for the more advanced in the field.
The book makes the topics covered very clear, and there is a very good balance between text, illustrations and tables of data; I enjoyed using this book in my recent paediatric placement were we also covered principle of neonatology.
I would recommend this book to anybody that is starting out in neonatology as a reference text, and would not recommend any undergraduate student to purchase this, but to keep it in mind when they come into difficulty.
