4.0 out of 5 stars Stands the test of Time
It seems that Last's book and topics are still relevant to the aspirant surgeon of today .
I am old enough to remember being both taught and grilled by the man himself for the old " Primary "
at Lincolns Inn and recommended it after seeing a struggling family member trying to get applied anatomy
basics straight.

His continuing /successors book...

versus
3.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensive, but illustrations need improvement
Its has been my favourite text for well over a decade. Its text is comprehensive and thorough, but the quality of illustrations is a bit of a disappointment, so you may want an anatomy atlas opened in parallel. Some more schematics will be an excellent addition.

His continuing /successors book has helped my offspring now jumping the same hurdles to get their
knowledge up to speed for the MRC test of today.

Receved a text"Last's book is great" from my daughter who is caught in the race to surgical nirvana.
Its direct style still takes the mystery out of what is still a necessary chore .
