5.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading for all mental health professionals, 8 Jan 2001
This review is from: Working with Serious Mental Illness: A Manual for Clinical Practice (Paperback)
This book presents the latest evidence based research underpinning good quality care and treatment of the severely mentally ill. It has a practical theme, giving sound advice and guidance on most of the problems faced by people with serious mental illness. It focusses on psychotic disorders, and would be most relevant to those working in rehabilitation and assertive outreach teams. It acknowledges the contributions of all models of mental illness, backing this up with research findings, and then outlining clearly the main features of good practice.
