this book is the quintessential cookery book, I've had it for years its the rock that i turn to when stuck in a culinary rut, her writing technique is pleasant and well read, i think that her recipes are simple to follow yet complex enough to leave your guests amazed. "well recommended a must for any foodie"

Bought this book as a Christmas present and we have already tried out some of the recipes and they are great. Easy to cook with simple ingredients and taste really good. Cannot wait for summer to try some of the summer puddings and ice cream. Well written easy to understand without all the jargon but are very tasty.

I origianally borrowed this cookbook from a friend to cook something for a dinner party and was so impressed with it that I found myself borrowing it a few times! I then realised that I need to have my own copy! The recipes are really delicious and very easy to make. I have found many of the recipes can be made in the morning for a dinner in the evening - taking the stress out of dinner parties for me! This recipe book is a must for all those who like to entertain with ease!

This is the least favourite of Nigella's books, not because anything is wrong with it perse, but it doesn't compare favourably to the others as it is very 'niche'.

'Forever Summer', as the name suggests, is influenced by flavours and tastes of Summer. There are some great recipes for barbecue food, salads and ice cream but that is pretty much it! This book lacks the brevity of 'How to Eat', 'Feast' 'Express' and 'Christmas'.

If you want some quirky summer food recipes then you will enjoy 'Forever Summer'(the raw beetroot salad is awesome and will convert die hard beetroot haters)but don't expect any more and you won't be disappointed.

In terms of value for money, you will get more 'bang for your buck' with 'How to Eat', 'Feast' or 'Express'.

Great Book, never bought the original though I do have most of her others. Recipes always seem to turn out excellent.

This book is simply a reprint of Forever Summer. The only difference is the title and the cover. The publishers should make it quite clear that this book is nothing new. What a let down and a complete waste of money! I love Nigella's recipes but this book is the biggest disappointment ever.

This is a beautiful book, worth buying for the photographs alone! But as well as the presentation, I have liked nearly everything I've tried - all the chicken recipes and the Ultimate Greek Salad are wonderful, as is the Baked Pasta Shells with Spinach and Ricotta....I could go on and on. Highly recommended.

Some of the recipes are quick and easy to put together, particularly the salads, but others are a bit more elaborate and not quite as tasty as I would have predicted. One unexpected little gem is the watermelon, feta and olive salad with mint and lime, which is fabulous and we eat it all the time!

This latest book from the Domestic Goddess weighs in at much better value than her last - which lets face it was a bit of a rip-off content wise. This one has tonnes of recipes and glorious pics.
I was wary of buying a summer-themed book in September but many of the recipes lend themselves to autumn and spring cooking.
And as usual Nigella writes wonderfully, introducing each recipe to you as if she's nattering away in your kitchen. She and her recipes are like a cross between Delia and Jamie. Practical but fun.
In fact the only reason I've not given this book top marks is because of the awful pics of Queen Nigella where she introduces each chapter. And Nigella, that ice cream shot will haunt you!
