This review is from: The Politics of Life Itself: Biomedicine, Power, and Subjectivity in the Twenty-First Century (In-Formation) (Paperback)
Nikolas Rose’s through investigation into the rise of the phenomena of Biomedicine is a brilliant. Rose’s thesis is not all doom and gloom, although he does explain how the power of medicine has taken control of the future by examining the past. The mastery of evolution in the hands of pharmaceutical companies could be shaping a better future for humanity, but it could be the downfall of a civilization.
