4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Book
i bought this book with no hast at all. i am a great Lisa Lopes fan and was surprised to see that there was only one book documenting her short, but eventful life. the books size was a little disappointing but i soon got over it as the content was very good. it is an easy book to read and being only thin, it did not require a lot of time to complete.

3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better...
This book chronicles the life of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, arguably the most influential member of TLC. I did feel that this book was lacking however. The biography made inadequate observations regarding various points in Lisa's life. I felt that this book could have been written much better as it did not reveal fully the woman behind the enigma that was "Left Eye". Somewhat...

all in all, a very good coverage of Lisa's life with quotes from her, family and friends. the book starts at birth and contnues right up until her funeral.
this book may not be enough to remember Lisa Lopes by, but it is a good starting point.
For all Lisa 'Left-Eye' Lopes fans out there, buy this book..

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good book, 20 Jan 2006
This review is from: Lisa Lopes: The Life of a Supernova (Mass Market Paperback)
Again agreeing with some of the other reviews on here the book was very very thin, I was happily surprised at the content. Although I have to say that most of the content you can find online by googling her name without having to buy the book, there were no shocks about anything that happened in Lisa's life but it was really nice to have it in a book rather than reading it all online and I have always been a massive fan of TLC so its something to keep forever. It took me two hours to read!
what is most surprising not about the book as such but whatever happened to the other members of TLC, their website's no longer exist and its like most traces of them now have completely disappeared.... and there is no website for Lisa either as advertised in the back of the book....

Somewhat disappointing although it did have some good qualities such as including quotes from some of the people who knew Lisa and a timeline at the back of the book charting some pivotal moments in her life.
