Bought this book in a second hand shop in Tewkesbury hoping to get Brian to sign it at one of his appearances. He promptly pulled out - never mind, another time Brian, eh? Went on to read it in two days and it is a great little read filled with irreverent humour and tales from his life. A lot of it covers mountaineering such as his climbs up Mont Blanc with a bleeding foot 'White Mountain, Red foot' and also up Kilimanjaro and his neverending quest for Everest and his love of Mallory and Irvine. He meets the Dalai Lama and puts a condom on the statue of Helios in the BBC television centre with the help of Huw Wheldon. Is there nothing this man cannot do?
Excellent read and well worth delving in to. Thanks for the memories Brian, catch up with you soon I hope.

what can i say about Brian Blessed - the man is a god on this earth, this book contains a number of his escapades recounted in a very entertaining manner - especially as i could not help reading in a simulation of his booming enthusiastic voice. Inspirational book
