Detailed but slightly distant as the writer didn't actually live in London throughout the period

Excellent as source material for any fan of the Rolling Stones or popular music in general but some details need rechecking.
One of the best books on the subject of the band if not the period in London.

Easy read

This review is from: Blown Away: The Rolling Stones and the Death of the Sixties (Hardcover)
This book is a must for anyone interested in the Rolling Stones and the 1960's in general. It explores the inner workings of a great rock and roll band and its entourage. It also includes interview with people who were at the centre of all that was going on in the swinging 1960s like Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg. A must for all rock and roll fans
