I am always dubious of books that sell themselves as 'the indispensable guide to...' - I have now found a book that truly deserves the strap line!
Not really for beginners but a really great reference guide that I have been using nearly every day!

Before I read this book I knew what HTML, JavaScript and CSS were but had never produced a web page using them. This book has some great examples to show you how to apply DHTML to get some amazing effects plus it is an amazing reference book.

A complete client-side reference. So many people have written glowing reviews that I shall just say if you are a web developer, concerned with the client-side, this book will save you plenty of time/money. Your web pages will thank you.

The man is a god and even though the book is 3 years old, it is still the most important reference in existence for DHTML. It lacks information for the latest browsers (v. 5+) but it is a constantly used and heavily thumbed tome. Buy it.

This is a fantastic reference book for anyone developing web pages. I've had it for two years and practically use it everyday. When are the publishers going to release an update? When they do I'll be the first to buy it.

This is the most comprehensive reference book for dHTML i have ever seen. It is easy to read and tells you what browsers support what. It is definatly worth the money.

The first few chapters are okay as a general tutorial, but the book's main strength is being an excellent point of reference for all things DHTML.

This book has spoiled me for other reference books , it has been in constant use for nearly two years , whilst other books are gathering dust!

It covers everything. For a reference it's worth it's weight in gold. Buy it if you ever use HTML, stylesheets (CSS1 and CSS2) or Javascript.
