5.0 out of 5 stars One for keeps, 1 Nov 2004
This review is from: Cisco Cookbook (Paperback)
If you administer cisco networks, this book is a *must*. As its title suggests it infers a prior knowledge of IOS, however its format greatly assists those still at the beginning of the cisco learning curve. Each recipe comes with Problem, Solution and Discussion sections, with the Discussion section being just enough to clarify the proposed solution.
Over 850 pages of examples with topics as diverse as hsrp to multicast. An all round gem of a book, and one that will no doubt see several editions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ideal Quick Reference, 2 Dec 2004
This review is from: Cisco Cookbook (Paperback)
This book is a life saver. It contains literally hundreds of realworld config examples (along with summary text for each config) to assist the hectic schedule of a busy net admin. As yet I have been able to find an example for everything I was looking for - from as far afield as pim sparse/dense to bgp confeds. This book is the perfect desktop quick reference. Well worth the purchase.
