4.0 out of 5 stars Ideal level for the better student, 17 Jun 2014

I use the Penguin Readers series with my German English learners. The Level 3 books are set at a good level for most of my students (those that have a fairly high standard of both written and spoken English).

Pride and Prejudice is no exception. Recommended for adequately capturing the intricacies and humour of the relationships within the Bennett family, as well as the social comment on the England of the time. These aspects make this version of the classic novel so very acceptable to my educated German readers. Recommended.

This is a well abridged and concise version of the original. It allows Intermediate - Advanced non native speakers to get a feel for the book.
