This book was such a waste of money. Aside from being nothing more than a cheaply produced pamphlet with a glossy cover, the content had zero substance. The writing inside was laughable. Here we have some professors telling ourselves to write in an impartial manner. They provide various examples from newspapers and analyse/criticise the word usage badly. Not only this, but they fail to write in an impartial way and the book is littered with their opinions, which to anyone not of a left-wing viewpoint is extremely aggravating.

However the worst offence was noted when I first picked up the book and opened it at a random page (in this instance page 117). The initial paragraph had one incorrect word where it should have read 'more' they had the word 'move' and one grammatical error of 'emphasis' when it should have been 'emphasise'. Having investigated the book further I happened across literally hundreds of them - page after page of what sounded like a book written by morons. The proof reading and editing has obviously not been done, or if it has they should be fired immediately. It is disgraceful to have a book on good writing style littered with errors. This appears to be quite commonplace these days, as any older books I've read tend to have none at all.
