This book gives the reader a execellent grounding in the design and analysis of electronic circuits. It starts by introducing the various components an electronic engineer needs to be familiar with. However, it does not have pages on semi-conductor physics, just the models needed for calculations. It then moves on to techniques for analysing electronic circuits, which I think is invaluable because it lays down the foundations for being able to design and evaluate any circuit.
The rest of the book expands on these first two chapters, going into depth and enabling you to use and develop the techniques learnt earlier. There is execellent coverage of digital as well as analogue and the book is quite up to date as far as textbooks go.
Overall an excellent book that will help you learn electronics at Degree/HND level and will be a valuable asset in future years if you go to work in electronics.
