At this grade of ABRSM it is possible for learners to become discouraged with the difficulties to be found in sight reading. This book should be most useful as part of a balanced attempt to improve skills. The examples are excellent and well thought out. Rhythmic and melodic exercises are designed to offer maximum help. The music is sufficient to develop good technical skills and encourage sympathetic performance in order to speed up the learning of new music. The book does not tire with repeated use. This is a great resource.
