A Walter Gropious prodigy
on 12 April 2013
Paul Klee the author and artist wrote this book between the wars last century. Much of his ouvre was abstract or sureal. His pedagogic sketch book simplifies the mechanics of visual comunication on a two dimensional surface. Tone, weight, movement and perspective are his cues for the chapters in the book. It is a small book but speaks volumes to me. It may seem odd but because I simply copied many of his sketches I understood it and still find it's precepts entirely relevant to my own creations. PS I may be wrong about the publishing dates but not by much. Walter Gropious was principle at the Bauhous when Paul Klee was a master there.
