5.0 out of 5 stars Easy, Quick, Cheap and Delicious Recipes, PERFECT!
This series of books is so handy, they are in a much smaller format than your usual celeb cookbooks so you can pop them in your bag and take them to the supermarket with you. The recipes are easy to follow, with a full colour picture for each one, and don't require any complicated techniques or hard to source ingredients. I would highly recommend them if you are first...

3.0 out of 5 stars Recipe book review
The book was excellent value for money and a good delivery. For quick (30 minute) recipes some of the meals are a little unusual and others I would consider as snacks rather than meals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap yet exciting recipes for everyday use,
This review is from: Good Food: Meals For Two: Triple-tested Recipes: Tried-and-tested Recipes (Good Food 101) (Paperback)'Cooking for two is just as rewarding as cooking for four or more - often even more so............ a collection of specially designed recipes for two, all tried and tested in the `Good Food Kitchen' for ease, simplicity and taste.'
This book designs to make cooking for two an everyday occurrence. Too often we will prepare delicious homemade food when we are expecting company, but fall back on a jar of pasta sauce when just cooking for two, or a ready meal from a packet. The recipes in this book attempt to be quick, easy, and still tasty, perfect for making after a long day at work. The recipes also take into account the fact that you don't want to spend lots on a simple dinner for two, and make the most of cheaper ingredients.
The book contains 6 chapters to help you find the type of recipe you need. These are:
Starters, Salads and Snacks
Simple Suppers on the Run
Special Occasion Meals
Low-Fat & Healthy
As well as the chapters there is an index by ingredient or recipe title at the back of the book, so you can find a recipe to use up things you have left over.
This is a small book, approximately 14 cm x 15.5 cm, however each recipe is over two pages, one side has a photo and the other has a clear, simple recipe. Personally this is invaluable for me, as I hardly ever make a recipe which I can't see a picture of the finished product before I start. As well as the recipe there is a separate, clear ingredient list, along with the time required. The pages are all high quality, clearly printed on glossy paper. I do find the size a bit fiddly, as it's hard to keep the book open while cooking, however this is only a minor niggle. On the plus side the small size means you can pop it straight in your bag to take to the supermarket, without having to draw up a list.
Written by Good Food magazines all the recipes are top quality and have been proof read to iron out any issues. However many of these recipes have previously been featured in the magazine or on the website, so there is not much new here if you are familiar with either of these.
