This book is great for any doctor who fans and is a brilliant present. We gave it to our little boy for his birthday and he loved looking at the different monsters and aliens. This will be a reference book to keep for years.

The 2nd in the series of books looking at the various creatures that appear in the Doctor's amazing travels this book is a wealth of infomation. If you're already a big Doctor Who fan then this book won't necessarily teach you anything new but it's all presented so well with a really good layout featuring loads of great, colourful pictures from the series, models and sketches from the design stage of the monsters and script extracts.

Another thing i'm well pleased with this book about is that it's written with an adult audience in mind too, the writing intelligent and able to fully convey the details of the creatures without being limited by having to aim towards a kids' market. That's not to say this book isn't for kids - that's where Doctor Who's unniversal appeal is so apparent - Who fans of all ages will love this book.

I also really like that they've included lots of details about monsters from the original series too. In this respect, the book is an ideal introduction to the old episodes for new fans and i'm sure older fans will appreciate looking back at all the creatures they remember from their childhood.

So, all in all, a fantastic book and a definite must buy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Monsters Galore!, 25 May 2006
This review is from: Doctor Who: Aliens and Enemies (Paperback)
This book is brilliant for any Doctor Who fans or begginers! It shows all of the Doctor's Latest enemies, from The Host in Tooth And Claw, to the evil Cyber Men in The Age Of Steel, and all the first eight doctors' villians (The Monsters Of Death, The Dalek Emperor). Any major fan must get this! And I HAVE to get its prequel, Monsters And Villians soon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Delete Delete Deleeeeeeeete!, 17 May 2009
This review is from: Doctor Who: Aliens and Enemies (Paperback)
From the re-imagined Cybermen of 2006 to old enemies from the classic series such as 'Scaroth, Last of the Jagaroth; this lovingly compiled, lavishly illustrated and well-researched accompaniment to the revitalised TV series is a must have for fans, both new and long-standing. With scores of The Doctor's many adversaries, and details of them and the stories in which they appeared, this caters for fans of all ages, and is a reasonable price too. Great Christmas 'stocking filler' or birthday present.
