4.0 out of 5 stars Very, very funny and entertaining!
This book was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. Amanda Quick does seem to follow a formula in her writing but I still seem to enjoy her books. This one in particular was enjoyable because of her sense of humor throughout. My daughter came in to see why I was laughing so much. Don't miss reading this book for it is very entertaining.

3.0 out of 5 stars Better than most romances, as all of Quick's are, but. . . .
Amanda Quick is probably the best Regency writer of all time. This particular genre can be very enjoyable but the main problems with at are that they are often based on the same premises-- damsel in distress, though she is not the usual "milksop" of the time; rich, dark, strong hero who is convinced that love does NOT exist, goofy house staff, ridiculous...

Amanada Quick has once again out-done herself. This love triology of hers gives every reader the romance and dreams they crave. It's every girls dream come true! This is a must read for all those who believes in a knight on a white horse will one day carry you away!!

I loved this book, it was thrilling, exciting and romantic! It was very funny and I laughed out loud several times. This is one of the books I like the best by Amanda Quick. I have read quite a lot of her books and this one, with another few, is the best! You would not want to miss it!

I first read this book about three years ago and fell in love with it. Whether it was intentional or not I found it absolutely hilarious and as for Blade, what can I say? I WANT ONE!

2.0 out of 5 stars Interesting, but heroine annoying., 6 Jun. 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: Scandal (Mass Market Paperback)
This is the 5th book of Amanda Quick's that I have read and would not recommend it to a first time reader. The character Emily spouts about metaphysical love until Blade (and the reader) is ready to throttle her. The imagery of dragons is very nice and Blade is an interesting character, but all in all, I was disappointed.

Emily and Simon Earl of Blade, I never saw two opposite attact. But at one point I was reading a nd actually laughed out loud. I thought that this is a good book in a quirky sort of way.
