This review is from: Claws and Effect: A Mrs. Murphy Mystery (Mass Market Paperback)
Coming upon Sneaky Pie Brown's Mrs Murphy by pure serendipity, I became addicted to these great characters. When'Harry' Harristein receives a blow on the head whilst investigating a mystery at the local hospital, her super-intelligent tiger-cat, Mrs Murphy and her associates, Pewter, the portly grey cat and Tee Tucker, the corgi, decide that they need to assist her before she really gets hurt. Their amazing ways of finding routes in and out of the most unlikely places do indeed point to the solution but they need to alert the humans to this. With Harrys' ex-husband Fair, Miranda Hogendobber, Susan Tucker, Deputy 'Coop' and Sheriff Rick all adding to the mayhem, I found this unput-downable. I loved the picture that this book gave me (albeit fictional) of small town America and I started to collect all of the series and am now eagerly awaiting the next installment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mrs Murphy and her friends at their sharpest, 4 April 2001
By A Customer
Mysterios Murders at the Hospital...harry get hit over then head and the animals are the ones who know what it is all about before the humans do. It's like visiting old friends, everybody is there, Mrs Hoggendobber is bringing the Cinnabuns and Harry's furry friends are solving the crime in a jiffy. It's absolutly fantastic reading fun. Rita writing is so fluent and desciptive that you are intanly drawn into the story.Since the charackters are mostly the same as in the other Sneaky Pie Mysteries it truly feels like coming home for some great murder-mystery-entertainment.
