THE book everyone needs to read. You think you trust everyone. You think you know who you are. Do you?

Really grips you from the start and makes you think what it would be like to be in a situation like this.

How is it possible for a mere book to ruin your day, especially an ebook that you only bought to pass the time as you commute into the Big Smoke (or La Grande Fumée in my case)? When the book in question bizarrely keeps you hooked - despite it's glaringly obvious faults in composition, style and plot - and then just completely falls to pieces at the end, right when you're after a nice, juicy, satisfying dénouement. So disappointing, I was expecting so much better...but the plot device literally goes up in smoke, making the entire story implausible and impossible. Extremely frustrating, especially when I realised I'd wasted a good 3 hours of my life which would have been better spent in re-reading a Jane Austen novel for the umpteenth time - a good read guaranteed, at least.

In conclusion, I wish I could wake up without the memory of ever reading this one - but I've given it two stars as it did pique my interest and keep me reading to the end.

I could not recommend this book to anyone. I read it as fast as I could just to get it over with. Predictable from the first few pages and dull. A regrettable purchase.

Was enjoying the book untill the end. I felt the ending was obvious and yet at the same time unrealistic
