5.0 out of 5 stars Ace
It's Catherine Cookson and of the books I've read by her so far, you can never go far wrong. Yet again a brilliant read the only downside to her books is the lack of sleep I suffer as i can never put the books down :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Read!, 15 April 2010
This review is from: The Tinker's Girl (Mass Market Paperback)
I've read most of Catherine Cookson's books, and this is by far my favourite. So much so, I've read it 3 or 4 times and always enjoy it. Catherine Cookson has an amazing talent of "putting you in the room", which I love. A brilliant read, you can't go far wrong!

This is one of Catherine Cookson's best stories. It is one of those that you can't put down. The atmosphere of the time is perfectly portrayed, & there are unexpected twists & turns to keep your interest. i have read most of Cookson's stories, & this one is one of my favourites.

I love Catherine Cookson's books and this one did not disappoint. Some are better than others but all are really enjoyable
and I haven't read one yet that I disliked. Her characters are wonderful and leave you with lots of different emotions.
