A Compelling Read.,

The first in the Angel Mountain Saga. At first I thought it slow going but by chapter 3 I was hooked and in fact could not put the book down. The book has a good rhythm throughout with amazing thought given to the moods and ups and downs of Mistress Martha. It is also very in time with the period 1797 with brilliant descriptive narrative of the house Plas Ingli and the area. The reader can easily be transported to the time and place. A very compelling read - you just have to go on to the next page - indeed the next chapter! It is a surprise that this book has been written by a man. I could not wait to read the next book in the Saga. It should come as no surprise that I read all five books in the saga in under 3 weeks!!!

As a reader i actually very seldom read fictitious texts. I have an inherent interest in Pembrokeshire however, and this book happened to be given to me for analysis.
I began reading this book and somewhat immediately became hooked on the extrication of the story. Knowing Pembrokeshire very well meant that i could build a fantastically clear picture of Martha's environment. This obviously gave the whole thing a much clearer comprehension. The reader starts to aquire a liking for the charming character of Martha Morgan at a very early checkpoint. Following her through her plights of misery and blessings of elation, right from the epicentre of her logic expression. A fantastic story that i dare not try to explain and a strong reccomendation from me to all readers. J.sutton

A thrilling, fast paced novel that keeps the reader involved from beginning to end. I can't wait to get started on the next four... what will Martha be up to next?!
