This is a clear and comprehensive atlas covering the South Yorkshire area. In its spiral bound form is is the ideal size for use when travelling on foot or by car, as it can be easily stored in a backpack or glove compartment. The format is clear and precise, its minimal use of colours ensures that it is not confusing. Route planning is made easy by the use of an overall map at the front of the book, and direction arrows/adjoining page indicators at the top and the bottom of each map page directing the reader to the next part of the journey. As with other publications in the in the latest Ordnance Survey Street Atlas range, large cities and towns are shown in large scale, in this edition, Sheffield City centre is covered at 7 inches to 1 mile. The detail is complemented the use of easily understandable map symbols, it gives the traveller the confidence in being able to plot a course using the maximum amount of information that can be displayed. Most importantly, the atlas shows all named streets in the South Yorkshire area. For Business or Leisure, you will not want to leave home without it.
