I recieved this book as part of a 3 part set from a friend, and had heard of the author before from another work, Man On Fire.

3.0 out of 5 stars Another well written book
Not in a very good condition but cheap and no choice. Unfortunately, although well written and a good story, not like the Skinner stories so not that interesting to me

This review is from: Siege of Silence (Paperback)
I recieved this book as part of a 3 part set from a friend, and had heard of the author before from another work, Man On Fire.

The story line, though not in itself complex, is impecably written. The characters and scenarios thoughout are described in vivid detail and obviously resultant from many hours of concise educated research. Specificaly, the interplay of the mental states of the involved characters, inviting a more intriguing read as Quinnell delves past stock standard Stockholm Syndrome scripts, and finds a middle ground which is perfectly viable with the intense character backgrounds.

This small summary can in no way describe how fine a book this is that could cause me to, for the first time, write a review of a book. I urge you simply to read it and marvel.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Quinnell book., 22 Dec 2009

This review is from: Siege of Silence (Hardcover)
After reading the first few pages, I could't put the book down, I was hooked on it.
I couldn't wait to turn pages and read what was going to happen next. You will not be dissappointed in this book. I rated this book up there with Man on Fire, The Perfect Kill etc. Finally after five hours of reading, I had to put the book down, eyes were starting to burn and it was 2AM had to get some sleep, but couldn't wait to start reading it again in the AM. Another great addition to my library of Quinnell books, I have a total of eight hardcover w/dj and one softcover (The Blue Ring). Quinnell also wrote a short story with Creasy in it titled "Gladiator", approx. 28 pages. Good Creasy short story.
