This book is definitely useful preparation for the TSA tests: with chapters on the different "skills" necessary to do well in the test, good exercises, summaries of key terms, and answers in the back this book is easily accesible and practical.

Bought in order to prepare for the TSA exam for entrance to Cambridge. Really useful book and good examples of different types of questions.

Bought this textbook as recommended reading for the Cambridge TSA, while I haven't taken the test yet, it has been very helpful in understanding the processes behind thinking, and how to get to answers. Would recommend this to anyone also taking the TSA.

I used this book for preparation for IMAT (international medical admission test for Universities in Italy) since there are still no official books for IMAT preparation, but big part (about 50%) of the exam is reasoning. As for every exam, although there are no official books, you can prepare for what you are gonna get, and this books provides material that is very similar (read: same principle) to BMAT/IMAT reasoning part...

I give it 4/5 since it is not so concise and still demands decent amount of time to go through... But still I highly recommend it especially for someone who did not encounter similar tasks in his/her high school...

I have to say, I expected less. It may be a little light on depth and premise but was very well constructed and laid out with balanced escalation in subject matter. Or so it made me think....

This book encourage students to reflect on the processes of thinking, as well as practising thinking skills. [[ASIN:0521521491 Thinking Skills - (Cambridge University Press)]. This book provides very good support for the TSA entrance test. It is divided into two sections: Critical thinking and Problem solving. As well as giving students a thorough grounding in these areas, the book provide opportunities for students to analyse and evaluate arguments, analyse numerical and graphical information and develop a range of skills.

I am PhD qualified highly experinced tutor. Most of my students find this book very handy for TSA test. If you need FREE advice, explaination of a particular question, do not hesitate to contact me at info@aonetuition.co.uk. I wish you good luck!!!

I bought this in prep for my TSA Oxford exam. It was very useful, especially for the critical thinking part, plenty of practice questions with full explanations of how to work out the answer. I'd really recommend it.

I have made many attempts throughout the years to improve my thinking. Many books were purchased to improve my thinking, some were helpful but not as helpful as this one. This book has provided me with the necessary foundation to further my studies with more advanced subjects in logic. I would like to thank the author for making this possible.

Cheers,
Anthony

I believe this is the course book for the Thinking Skills A'level, although I may be mistaken. I bought this book because I'll be taking a TSA entrance examination in a few months for University and am very impressed with its' contents.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their lateral/critical thinking whether taking an exam in the subject or not. It's a shame that Critical Thinking was not available as an A'level 10 years ago.
