5.0 out of 5 stars For the advanced learner
Like any language, Spanish is constantly changing and evolving. When I started to learn the language some 25 years ago usage focused on the Usted/Ustedes polite form of the second person on the basis that this was the most common and the safest. Today, living in Spain, I find that the informal, tu/vosotros form has overtaken it in everyday communication.

3.0 out of 5 stars Contents ok, not great value for money
This book is ok, has some very useful sections and some which seem like a waste of time. That said, after reading it twice, i do feel like i've picked up information and taken it on board, so it must be doing something right. For 25 though, its fairly expensive. Not great, but ok.

This book takes the learner beyond the 'rules' of grammar into the whole field of how the language is spoken in different contexts.
To my mind, it is worth buying for its chapter on the use of the subjunctive alone.
