5.0 out of 5 stars "Drake Sisters" series book 5,
This is my most favourite book so far in the "Drake Sisters" series. Hannah may be tagged as the most beautiful of the sisters; however she is far from the most confident and is certainly the most vulnerable. Jonas, with his bossy, domineering attitude is the perfect match for her, insisting she place her own happiness and needs above those of everyone else and re-establish her own priorities rather than be a perfect people pleaser. The Drake sisters again unite their magic to defend themselves, and the reader witnesses for the first time how savage their house can react to the threat of danger and intruders. The action roles as thick and heavy as the fog the sisters call for protection whilst the more poignant moments (specifically the letters each of the sisters write to Hannah) are deeply moving and almost heartbreaking in places.
I now very much look forward to reading book 6 "Turbulent Sea". I love Joley, and her determination to remain single when faced with mobster bodyguard and fellow magic user Ilya Prakenskii is sure to be a fabulous read.

4.0 out of 5 stars The story of middle sister Hannah,
This review is from: Safe Harbor (Drake Sisters Novels) (Mass Market Paperback)This is the story of Hannah Drake who can manipulate the wind through magic but is very insecure in social settings with anyone other than her sisters and the local sherrif Jonas. He has loved her for years but doesn't want to involve Hannah in his dangerous life even though at the start of this book he relies on Hannah to use her magic to save his life following a gunshot wound.
What I liked about this book is that if you haven't read any of the Drake Sister's books (which I hadn't) it is easy to pick up the relationships in the book. But, if you are a regular reader of the series, Feehan doesn't do a lot of the annoying recaps of other stories and histories that many series authors do. You really get the feel that Jonas and Hannah have had a long history already. I am still mostly a fan of her "Dark" series but I will continue with these as they are something different and lighter. I can't wait for her sister Abigal's story with the Russian hitman Ilya who has featured in this book.
4.0 out of 5 stars Another good read in a continueing saga.,

5.0 out of 5 stars Safe Harbour - Book 5,
I'll start by saying this was not what I expected. I was expecting a book where they continued to fight and we saw a slow move to something more but it goes a completely different direction which in retrospect makes a lot more sense.
It's only really in this book that I've started to realise something. We already have a good idea of who is going to end up with each of the remaining sisters in book 4. There isn't going to be any surprise relationships because the men already appear in their lives, so in a way it makes perfect sense that each of the romances when focused on won't take a whole book to develop. It'll be quick, and yes, there will be problems but it won't have a slow build, because we've already seen it in previous books.
This is the reason I'm not an author. I didn't even think of this, and it's brilliantthe way Christine Feehan has so seamlessly tied these books together.
Another thing I love about this book that I can actually talk about without going into flail mode is the idea that a woman can still be powerful and true to herself while staying at home and being family orientated. There is no denying that the Drake Sisters' are powerful and independent women but that is not the only type of woman there is. It was refreshing to see that Hannah could decide to take a different route with her life without being judged. There is people in this world that want to get married, want to have children and want to stay at home looking after their families. That isn't a bad thing and it shouldn't be said that the only type of woman that deserves respect is the one that goes out to have an insanely successful career.
If I had to give this book a criticism, I called the ending before the book had really began.
Overall, these books are simply wonderful. I absolutely adored Jonas and Hannah from the moment we met them in the first book, and over the entire series they continue to tease and amuse with their relationship. The topics touched on in this book are both saddening and inspiring and I can't say I love it enough!
