Having rediscovered my love of colouring whilst sitting with my children as they coloured in the likes of Postman Pat and Brum, I decided to treat myself to a proper grown-up colouring book.
These designs are beautiful, clearly printed on good quality paper and there is a great sense of satisfaction to be had from planning out the colours you want to use and being happy with the final result.

A gentle, relaxing way of passing the time during television programs someone else insists on watching! A beautiful selection of designs 'on a theme.'

I am made up with this book. I am currently studying Yoga and reading up on Hindu and Buddhism so this fun coolouring book is the perfect way to unwind. I work at a call centre and colour it in while I am on the phone together it really helps me with stress levels! I am impressed by the amount of good designs in the book worried some might be a little boring but they arent. Brilliant value for money and when you r finished colouring them in you can use them in meditation to focus on!

I was at first disappointed with this book but I have done a few of the mandalas and got a lot of pleasure out of it.
The downside - the colour bleed through the page ruining the mandala on the other side of the page. They are not based on sacred geometry or symbolism typically seen in ancient mandalas.
The upside - they are fun to colour in and the designs based on nature are pretty.
So I would recommend that you photocopy the mandalas on decent paper in order to do all of the mandalas. Or perhaps the publishers could print the mandalas one to a piece of paper.

This is the first mandala colouring book and I absolutely love it! It is well worth the money and has many intricate designs that draw your mind to the moment. I can sit for hours and it is an excellent stress relief, you also get a really good feeling of accomplishment when you admire your work on completion. I showed my 11 year old nephew my designs and he is now addicted and has been sitting for hours colouring, he pinched this book from me because he liked it so much and so i have to order a new one. He has introduced my sister to it who is also loving it. The only bad thing about this particular book is thew pages are quite thin and if you colour in felt tip it goes through to the next page but the designs are beautiful and its well worth the money.

I bought this for my 11 year old son who had seen me using Joanna Basford's secret garden book and wanted a book of his own to colour in. The price was amazing so I ordered 2 one for him and one for me and we are both thoroughly enjoying the patterns in this book. We haven't found that any of the felt tip colours have gone through as previous reviewers have mentioned and the pictures seem to magically transform themselves into something beautiful once you colour them.
Don't be put off by comments about colour bleeding through or bizarre pictures as you will find as we have that once you get going with the colouring etc they look lovely. There is something quite therapeutic about the repetition madalas offer.
The only negative I could find to say is I would like more intricately designed pictures but that is after being spoilt after Joanna Basford, for children of a certain age it is a must.

Good quality, intricate and captivating designs. Keep the designs in the book as the masters and photocopy/copy as required. Excellent.

This Dover publication contains thirty mandalas to colour by Alberta Hutchinson. All the mandalas are circular and all are very detailed and intricate. The themes vary a great deal and include patterns, leaves, insects, fish, the sun and even one with Buddhas.

This is one of those books that evokes mixed feelings in me. Whilst I think the artist is very skilled and I have enjoyed colouring some of the mandalas, I simply don't like some of them.

As is so often the case, the mandalas are printed on both sides of the paper making colouring in difficult. Happily, the only text that appears on the mandala pages is a page number. If you like intricate mandalas this book is well worth exploring.

I'm extremely pleased with this book - I'm Bipolar and so I ordered this to keep my mind busy when I have an episode. The Mandala images are beautiful, the paper is brilliant quality and even when using felt tips no ink seeped through to the next page as others have stated. I can sit for hours colouring in this book and I never get bored! I've already begun looking for the next colouring book to buy - although I will definitely buy one of these again too as I really enjoy this book!
I can't recommend this product highly enough. Just buy it! :]
