This review is from: Introduction to Superconductivity: v. 1: Vol i (Dover Books on Physics) (Paperback)
I bought the first edition more than twenty years ago. It was an excellent book, but this second edition deals with more dedicated and current hot topics yet to be considerably well written. This is the bible for researchers in the field of superconductivity.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, you can't possibly do without it!!!!, 8 Mar 2001
By A Customer
Highly recommended. Tinkham takes the very beginner in the subject and gives them a thorough tour. This includes classical superconductors to High Tc Superconductors to the very applications of the materials. Excellent sections on Experimental work as well as Theoretical. However the book also caters for people with a good grounding in the field so it makes for a good reference book too. So don't sit there and mull over it, get this!!!
