This review is from: Victorian Parlour Poetry: An Annotated Anthology (Dover Books on Literature & Drama) (Paperback)
My sister-in-law sent me this book and it's sister PARLOUR POETRY sometime around 1985, I think, and I've been trying to put together a stage version ever since. I lived in Honolulu at the time, now I'm in West Sussex trying to find a cast to be played at retirement homes and anywhere else.. What I love most about the individual pieces is that they work. They move me to laughter and tears, sometimes both, and Michael Turner's notes would be instrumental in bridging the gaps. I'm hoping to talk my grandchildren into the project. If that doesn't work, I'll turn elsewhere.
