5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great book for learning magnetohydrodynamics, 30 Sep 2001
By A Customer
The book begins with a lucid explaination of induced electromotive forces and the special relativity of moving media. These form the basis for the next chapters which study many kinds of interactions between conducting fluids and magnetic fields, including all induced current and fields.
It is without a doubt a classic among classic treatises which stands along side works written by such greats as Landau and Lifschitz, Maxwell etc.
It is of truly archival interest and yet contains solutions which haven't yet been published in the open literature.
