5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for starting to learn EFT
Having been interested for several years in EFT and having had newsletters sent every week from Gary Craig, watching his video links etc., I thought it time I REALLY learned how to do it. It is clearly written and easy to understand. I really have tried it on everything!!! And I have to say, it works, maybe not immediately, but over a period of time, the problem...

1.0 out of 5 stars EFT is left unexplained and unjustified
I bought this book without knowing much about EFT, but curious to learn about this technique with an open mind, and after reading the positive reviews on this site.

Leaving aside my reservations about the technique to begin with, this book is clearly written in small sections, much like a professional IT specification. As a result it is easy to scan and use...

Having been interested for several years in EFT and having had newsletters sent every week from Gary Craig, watching his video links etc., I thought it time I REALLY learned how to do it. It is clearly written and easy to understand. I really have tried it on everything!!! And I have to say, it works, maybe not immediately, but over a period of time, the problem disappears. I have many issues to address, and having just finished a 6 wk period of Counselling, my Counsellor whole-heartedly agrees EFT should be more widely publicized. I wholly recommend it to everyone interested.

5.0 out of 5 stars EFT for Dummies by Helena Fone, 5 Jan 2009
This review is from: Emotional Freedom Technique For Dummies (Paperback)
Of all EFT books that I have come across, I have found this to be the best! As a practitioner and trainer myself, if I was to write an book on EFT (and being a published author, though in a different field, I have seriously considered the idea), Helena Fone's EFT for Dummies would have definitely come on top (I am almost jealous!).
Clear, detailed, comprehensive, practical - like other books in the series, this is an invaluable reference for both a novice and an experienced EFTer, and if you have only one EFT book in your library, it should be this one!

Another excellent book from Dummies. I have bought many books on EFT but I always think this is a great series for beginners and practitioners alike. This guide introduces the reader to the theories and techniques of EFT and explains how you can use this highly effective technique on yourself and others. EFT can help transform your thinking and lead to positive changes in physical and emotional health.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best EFT book I have seen, 24 Oct 2008
By
This review is from: Emotional Freedom Technique For Dummies (Paperback)
"Emotional Freedom Technique for Dummies"
Reviev by Prof Tam Llewellyn-Edwards, EFT Master, EFT Honors Certificate

Emotional Freedom Techniques has really come to stay, with the publication of the book, "Emotional Freedom Technique for Dummies" in the world-famous series published by Wiley in UK and America.

"Emotional Freedom Technique for Dummies" by AAMET Trainer, Helena Fone, takes its place in the series as only the third therapy based title - following "Cognative Beahavioural Therapy for Dummies" and "Neuro-linguistic Programming for Dummies", bringing EFT into the forefront of Complementary Therapy Processes.

Is the book any good? Well, yes it is very good indeed - in fact it is excellent. I would go further than that and say it is the best general EFT book I have seen - the only book on EFT that most users would need. I say that will some trepidation as the author of two earlier EFT books, which I have now decided I will not reprint as they cannot stand up to this new publication.

The new book is in the same inimitable style as the others in the `..... for Dummies' series and so is at the same time both easy reading and great instruction. The book starts with no preconceptions as to what the reader already knows about EFT with the first part being the `Path to Emotional Freedom' Subsequent parts lead the reader on deeper into the use of EFT and spread the learning out into specialized areas, such as controlling cravings and the secrets of successful sleep. There is a section of resources, a glossary, and a really good Index which will prove invaluable to the reader.

In line with earlier books in this well-known series the book is written in a light almost flippant style which still manages to convey its message in a dignified way. The earlier titles of this series have been very successful proved to be best sellers in their field and I am sure that this new addition to the range will prove equally successful.

In short this book should be on the shelf of every EFTer and should be the first book read by newcomers to the therapy.

It is published by Wiley in UK and America at £15.99 ($29.99) with ISBN 978-0-470-75876-2

5.0 out of 5 stars Clarity!, 6 Nov 2009

I bought Helena Fone's book because it had such good reviews...as a practising EFT therapist, I had thought I wasn't a "Dummy" and therefore didn't need it...how wrong I was!
Whether for a newcomer or a professional, the material is so well presented and so clear that one is guided through effortlessly. In fact, it is so "content rich" and "padding poor" that it pays to read and re-read, which is why it works for "newbies" and professionals alike. I tend to "pick and mix" depending on the aspect of the subject I want to look up, but I am never dissappointed. There is a huge amount of information and practical tips, which is clearly informed by the author's experience.
For anyone interested in energy therapy, I thoroughly recommend this book.

I already use EFT on a regular basis and have several videos and books on the subject. I didn't need another book, or so I thought. This one is an easy reference book as well as a very interesting read. There is information in this book that will clarify lots of niggly questions you may have. It is also good value for money with its 306 pages packed with tips and ideas. Brilliant!

5.0 out of 5 stars EFT for Dummies, 25 April 2010

As a health and fitness professional specialising in fat loss I have long since realised the power of the subconscious mind in dictating human behaviour on all levels. As such I am continually looking for methods that can aid permanent behaviour change for my clients and myself. EFT has proved to be invaluable at this, due to its simplicity and easily learned format. Replacing the obsolete (unwanted) behaviour patterns with new desirable patterns using EFT can be almost instantaneous.
As an EFT Practitioner I have found EFT for Dummies to be a constant reference source both personally and professionally. The author's considerable knowledge and skill are apparent throughout the book, with the "for Dummies" format and layout complimenting each other beautifully.
Whether you have a professional or a personal interest in EFT this book deserves a place within your library.
