5.0 out of 5 stars Programming (Interviews) Exposed
This book gives an excellent exposé, and is probably one of the best of its kind. It shows the standard of understanding needed for current mainstream programming (for C, C++, C#, &c.). Moreover, it is an excellent book for those beginning a serious venture into programming for the first time, which, though perhaps difficult to understand at first for a beginner,...

1.0 out of 5 stars Elementary stuff - not going to land you a top job
As a part time interviewer and potential candidate I was expecting more from this book. It smacked heavily of a couple of guys fresh out of college collating their experience of applying for entry level jobs. Look elsewhere if Google et al interest you.

This book really help me to move to a new possition, it has really good explanations and tips, it will not cover every algorithm you may face on a tech screening or technical interview, but it shows you the way of thinking.

I enjoyed the book and definitelly recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars happy with the delivery and content, 5 Jan 2012
This review is from: Programming Interviews Exposed: Secrets to Landing Your Next Job (Programmer to Programmer) (Paperback)
This is a nice book convering programming questions specific to technical interviews. Not all the chapters will be useful, but some will you confidence to at least speak about them in the interview. The delivery took some time may be due to christmas time, otherwise I am happy with this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't wait for an interview to buy this, 24 Jun 2011
This review is from: Programming Interviews Exposed: Secrets to Landing Your Next Job (Programmer to Programmer) (Paperback)
This is a great little book, it takes you through a good selection of potential interview questions and explains exactly what the interviewer is looking for.

The book covers a decent selection of topics including logic and problem solving puzzles and data structure questions which I found highly interesting.

I'd recommend this to any one who enjoys programming and problem solving, you don't need to have interviews lined up to enjoy this book.
