3.0 out of 5 stars Somewhat old news to doctors but may appear novel to those fresh to the field
A rather superficial review of the area. The repetition of the central theme is excessive to the point of boredom.

Being asked to review a complex and profound book less than ten days after taking receipt of it is perhaps not the sign of a thinking organisation and does undoubtedly require a considered review of reviewing practice and/or customer service algorythm. However, a preliminary comment is that this volume is a valuable contribution to everyone's thinking about where medicine, sensor technology and distribution ofmedical data is going. One wonders whether the contenr majors upon the application of non invasive assessments of organ functions and look forward to finding out over the coming weeks.... The book is readable by a non-specialist from the start, hense the four star award. This may improve with time.

This was a stimulating book. At times, the author went into too much detail but I both learnt a lot and it gave one encouragement. It is amazing how conservative the medical profession is. An EC equivalent would be interesting.

My initial reaction was that it was very US centric but it has many lessons of global importance.
It was a real page turner and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone interested in medicine.

This review is from: The Creative Destruction of Medicine: How the Digital Revolution Will Create Better Health Care (Hardcover)
This Author has taken the time to explain in layman ' s terms what the future of medical care is becoming .
Hopefully as the Internet develops ,this may reduce the medical costs and make it available to all without unnecessary regulations and political interference.
