5.0 out of 5 stars spooky, gory and dangerously dark, 10 May 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Frighteners (Paperback)
This is everything a horror novel should be, it has gore, not quite by the bucket load, but at least by the shovel full. Sppoks and spirits abound along with paranormla abilities. It plays off the human desperation to be reunited with the loved ones we have lost, but this book reminds you to remember sometimes you get what you wish for but then you realise you really, really didn't want it. It's well worth a read and it's fast paced, with great plot and some superbly descriptive dialogue.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very good Read.........., 19 Feb 2014

This review is from: The Frighteners (Hardcover)
Mr Laws goes from strength to strength with each book he writes,I would highly recommend all his other books as he is as good as the late great James Herbert, and other authors in this genre, the best being Ghost Train which was the first of his books I read and I soon bought others after that, he is as far as I know the only author from Newcastle who writes this kind of books,(please correct me if I am wrong)......
