This has to be one of the best romance books i have ever read, with a little suspense thrown into the mix for good measure. It centres around the budding relationship between schyler (pronounced skyler),a wealthy and priveleged woman, and Cash a mysterious mean and moody type who lives a simple and solitary life. Although both parties fight their attraction to each other, the sparks that fly whenever they are together cannot be ignored.

The thing i like most about this book is Sandra Browns portrayal of Cash. He starts out mean, moody, tough and passionate, and he never really changes, even towards the end of the book, i found that this only added to his appeal. I'm sick of reading books where the alpha male is all deliciously brooding, and passionate at the beginning, but then undergoes some kind of total personality transplant as soon as a pretty simpering female is introduced to the plot, spouting poetry, and announcing their undying love every five seconds. Why some authors feel the need to emasculate their hero's to enable them to fall in love is beyond me. Although the scenes between Cash and Schyler were fantastic, (the sexual tension was perfectly maintained)it wasn't all the book had to offer. With a lot of stories of this ilk i find myself skimming the 'boring bits' to get to the next hot love scene. That wasn't the case with this book as i was totally engrossed from start to finish. If you already like Brown then this story is a fantastic mix of her earlier romance stories and her more recent crime based novels. I heartily recommend this book to anyone who likes a great romance where the hero is Alpha all the way.

I love Sandra Brown. I'm seldom disappointed. This is one of the best I've read by Sandra. I go to the library and head first for her books. I've exhausted most of them. This is a captivating, suspenseful, steamy story. I generally don't like "romance" novels, but Sandra always has so many twists, turns and unexpected surprises intertwined. I was sad to come to the end. Her books keep you thinking about the characters even after you've finished, trying to imagine how the story would continue. BRAVO!

I recently bought this book not realizing that I had already read it. I read the first line and I knew I was in for a treat for the second time. This is Sandra Brown at her very best. It is a page turner. The characters are alive and real. The hero is a man's man who is not afraid to face the hardships of life. The heroine is a modern day Scarlett O'Hara who is out to save the home that she loves so dearly. It is a modern day romance. It is a must read. Sandra Brown does not write the fast enough for me. I loved this book, not once, but twice.

Slow Heat in Heaven is the steamiest, sexiest novel I have ever read by Sandra Brown, I loved it. The story kept my body tingling, heart pounding, my imagination working overtime. She makes the reader feel the sexual tension, the angry, the disbelief, the whole nine yards. I love this book so much, I can't give my girlfriend back her copy until I get a copy of my own. I can't stop rereading it.

This was the first Sandra Brown novel I read & I read this book 4 times. Cash Boudreaux is one of the sexiest male characters I've read about. Brown's ability to develop sexual tension between Cash and Skyler is phenomenal. Plus there is one fantastic story line that encompasses this lovestory. Highly recommended reading.

Absolutely, positively, without a doubt, the very very best romance novel I have ever read! I have re-read it three times, and it just keeps getting better. Has all the qualities I like... a quietly proud and independent heroine (notice I didn't say "ravishingly beautiful"), a hero who's smart, drop-dead gorgeous and oooozes sensuality (of course) and a plot that's more than just how he and she deal with their feelings towards each other, yet not so deep and complex that I start to lose interest. Sandra Brown has such a gift for words... I love all her books, but this is her best.

I recently discovered this author and am devouring her books. I have yet to be disappointed! Through her descriptions she bring the characters and the settings alive. Who wouldn't be interested in Cash? I love the range of characters, from Jigger (and what she implies with names is brilliant) Flynn to the spineless Ken, all wonderfully drawn. Twists and turns, oh yes! Her writing is always one step ahead of my reading and I mean that in a very good way. Thoroughly enjoyable!

I found this to be quite dated with the constant smoking rather off-putting. Am inclined to agree with other reviewers regarding the hero but I think it helps to know that this book is from an entirely different era, with attitudes quite alien to someone living in 2014. Maybe that's why I find Cotton's attitude to Cash incomprehensible and Schyler's timidity and meekness not worthy traits of a 21st century heroine.

WOW you are in for a gripping, sexy, passionate read with lead characters, fiery, brazen hunk Cash and beautiful Schyler, together they combust every time they meet. I gave my book away for a friend to enjoy but couldn't live without it, so i just had to buy another copy. It's set in Hot Louisiana and it sure makes you feel warm all over! Hope Y'all enjoy this mighty fine book. Sandra Brown is Brilliant!
