5.0 out of 5 stars Rizobel's review, 24 Nov 2004
This is the fifteenth book in the Heartland series. Amy is delighted when she and Lou are invited to stay at her father's ranch in Australia. But when she gets there, things don't turn out as well as she would have liked. She fears that if she learns to like Helena, her dad's wife, she will be betraying her mother's memory. She isn't seeing that much of her father, and her baby half-sister, Lily, really isn't bonding with her. Having to look after and cure two of the horses, Mistral and Spirit, Amy is too busy with them to realize the truth about why she and her family aren't bonding. And her dodgy relationship with one of the stablehands, Emma, who she is meant to be teaching her methods to, doesn't help either...
If you've read Heartland books before, or luuurve horses, I can assure you, you'll love this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Heartland-love is a gift, 9 Mar 2005
In this book Amy goes to Australia with Dou to visit her dad. She concentrates on helping the horses there and has trouble fitting in to her dads new family. Lou bonds with Lily instantly leaving Amy feeling left out. She talks to a new friend there and soon starts to see herself as Tim's daughter not Heartland's Amy and starts bonding with Helena and Lily. She comes home extremely happy with an engaged sister.

This book is a must for any heartalnd, horsey or just out for a good book lovers. Amy and lou get the chance to visit their fathers house in australia. Its a chance for amy to bond not just with her father but with his new family and not forgetting his horses! She learns alot about herself as a person but does her love of horses ruin the chance she has to make herself welcome in her new extended family?

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartland lovers, 28 Feb 2005
Hi, I just wanted to say how great this series is. I hope every single horse lover out there reads them. I fell in love with these books a year ago from a friend who told me about them. In this particular book Amy goes to Australia, to visit her father and his new wife Helena. Once Amy has arrived she cannot help but feel out of place. She sees that Lou, her sister, is perfectly at home. Lou does not see that Amy has troubles fitting in with her step mother and the stable hands. But after a break through she finally takes the first step towards finding out that she does belong in a family .
