5.0 out of 5 stars It's great!!, 2 Feb. 2009
This is book 5 in the series and fantastic reading material.
I found it totally unpredictable which is great! I hate reading a book when you can guess what's going to happen.
It's about a world of owl kingdoms and how wise and noble owls are faced with evil owls who call themselves the pure ones.
Total fantasy and weird but fantastic!!

4.0 out of 5 stars The Shattering (Guardians of Ga'hoole), 1 Nov. 2010
This review is from: The Shattering (Guardians of Ga'hoole) (Paperback)
The Shattering follows Soren's Sister, Eglentine, and her relationship with Ginger and Primrose. It has a very good story line but was too short. More could have been made out of the very good plot. Eglentine starts sleeping a lot because Ginger is putting flecks of metal under her pillow. This 'shatters' her. As time goes on she falls under the spell and goes to the "Beaks" to where she thinks her mother's hollow is but it is just a dream. When she gets there she snaps out of it and sees that her mother is in fact Nyra posing as her mother. She is the evil leader of one squad of "Pure Ones". Eglentine and Primrose run off with Nyra's egg and she chases them. Soren and the band show up and save the day.
