I bought this book as it was the first to press for a challenging course. Now I have been told this is an old level 4 book re-titled and issued as level 5. It is not even close and does not provide adequate information for the level required. Do not buy, you have been warned!

very disappointing for this price I expected something much more helpful and thorough. This book does not cover the units of current level 5 units, and there are topics that do not even get mentioned-such as dementia, palliative care, active support etc. Was hoping it would be a good resource when completing my qcf but i had to buy several other books and research a lot on the internet as well.

It is disappointing that a new reference book for the QCF still makes mention of "CSCI" and National minimum standards etc.

unfortunately, this book is not a great help for someone who wants to complete a course, personally, I find only 10% of information useful, there are many other books which could guide you through all mandatory units. Does not worth the money you pay for this book.

I was advised to get this by my course assessor to help give structure and an overview but to be honest it seems linked more to the NVQ4 rather than the Level 5 and it is not especially illuminating. There is also not that much in depth information, you still need to do research to get the depth.I would not go out of my way to recommend it and in my opinion it is very expensive for what you get.

This book was extremely useful as I used it to support me in completing the Level 5 qualification.
Recommend it for all Level 5s.

I found this book very helpful for my studies and the units I am covering. It is clearly written and informative. It highlights a range of relevant information with good links to additional material, which I was able to draw on. I would recommend to others.

This book was very confusing the structure didn't make an sense instead of it correlating with core modules it just had random answers here and there. It takes ages to find what your looking, when you do find it, the content was ok.
