Katie's lifestyle seems to have got rather chaotic. Throughout the whole book she is all over the place with her tasks which, if not completed by herself, won't be completed properly or so it seems. That includes police work. Everything is very scattered but seems to fall into place in the end although it is not terribly obvious how. The book just comes to an end and the problems are solved. Period. Very tedious reading.
