I am a fan of this series by Shayla Black they remind me of Maya Banks sweet series this book sees Hunters brother from the last book Logan finds Tara his first love who he dumped after his mother was mudered and he recived notes claiming Tara would be next. Tara turns up at Logans club to train as a sub to go undercover (shes F.B.I.) to find her best friend Darcy whos been kidnapped while on a job herself by a ring of sex slavers whew! so after getting over the shock of Tara being back and arranging with his boss to be her dom Logan begins training Tara with some help from his friend who I loved Xander (def a book there later) the story idea was fresh and I love how much Logan loved and missed Tara, but she drove me a little bit crazy one minute she is being spanked and all sorts, the next she gives Logan the cold shoulder, the sex is hot hot hot but I found myself skipping parts to read more of the story as there is just so much sex, I know there has to be as Taras being trained but for me it needed just a few less scences, but the book only lost one star on that note for me, as I thought the idea of the story and charactars plus future characters were great! and even though there were a lot, the sex scenes were hot and heavy and made me blush so cant be too much of a bad thing, cant wait for shaylas next book mine to hold Tyler (remember the bouncer from luc and Aylssa's book) story which there is a preview of at the end of belong to me.

I normally love this series, but with this and its predecessor, I am glad that I got both from my library. I didn't love this tale because the female lead was still engaged and in an active sexual relationship when she decided to go undercover 'in the name of work' and agreed to be a Sub, with all of what that entails: being naked in front of strangers, being shared, having sex in public and having to get permission for everything.

I also found the male lead to have something seriously wrong with him, to be so fixated on a female from 12 years ago in his life - admittedly one he had strong feelings for - when he'd had no contact with her in all of this time. I mean, that's just plain weird and I am surprised that no-one, not any of his friends, his brother or his fellow Doms picked up on this.

I also found the plot incredible - yes, she was a true friend to want to save her abducted friend and colleague, but really, would the FBI contract with a Dom club in order to train an agent to go in undercover? And of course, he would be an ex-military/SEAL/similar type who'd get 'drafted in' to go undercover with her...PUHLEESE.

Not her greatest book, though the sex was hot and plentiful...but seemed fake. As if it was only happening because of the circs and not because of any true feelings on either of their parts. I mean, he had psychopathic issues that needed to be dealt with, before this 'relationship' could have any true meaning. The guy needed a bit of counselling!!

As for the baddie and the connection with the male lead's mother's death (over which he was less cut-up than over his break-up with the female lead), well, I had that connection sussed around about the time that the threatening letters were mentioned - it was far too obvious.

Just glad I didn't fork out for it, though I am considering doing so for Tyler's tale, which is the next in the series, and which features his ex...and their son she never told him about - that much is what I got from the blurb of that tale that appears at the end of this one.

I came across this book by accident, and although it is not the kind of book I usually read I must admit I was enjoying it. If you like hot erotic scenes and some kinky sex blended with action elements, this book is the right choice.

One of my all time fab books is Wicked Lies (I have read it twice), so I knew I would enjoy this book. Logan is super sexy and Tara feisty, strong but also a fragile heart. The back story unbelievable at times but the D/s relationship makes up for it.

it got me addicted after the first chapter, I love the end after what was revealed he finally got his girl!

Why did i not find you before Fifty Shades? These set of books by Shayla Black are truly incredible reads. Could not put them down. Can't wait for more!!

please if you want a good set of gritty books with a storyline then these are for you
