Yay, another festive knitting mystery to curl up with! In this one, its shockingly been *nine whole months* since amateur sleuth Kelly Flynn has tried to solve any crimes, since she worried her group of friends so badly during the last one.

As Christmas dawns this year, The House of Lambspun, Colorado's premier knitting shop, is being transformed for winter; Kelly is directing a local group of kids' nativity play, aided by fellow knitter Jennifer, and they're also helping local librarian Juliet, teach children how to knit. There's a new face on the horizon too, with glamorous `black widow' Claudia, whose three previous husbands have all died in somewhat `suspicious' circumstances. Unbeknownst to the knitters at first, Juliet and Claudia actually have something in common, namely a certain gentlemen who they've both been in a relationship with. However, when Juliet is mown down and killed, it looks like the prime suspect is most certainly Claudia.

Kelly, aided by former police chief Burt and her friends, is determined to prove Claudia's innocence, though something tells her it won't be easy...

Sefton's knitting novels are just a really easy-reading series, with familiar characters, homely settings and beautifully written friendships. At times they're admittedly a little bit cliché, but that's part of their cosiness! You need to read them in order too, but once you start you will be hooked- guaranteed! The whole gang are back in this one, including one of my favourite characters, Jayleen, and a couple of characters who made an appearance in previous novels (hence the need to read them in order). The secondary characters, including the knitters' boyfriends, are also taking more of a centre stage here, which is nice. I'm hoping Sefton features a wedding in one of her upcoming novels!!!

Also included are a knitting pattern and some festive recipes, if you are that way inclined. I can't knit whatsoever (doesn't detract from my enjoyment of these books in any way!), but I most certainly am tempted to give the chocolate mint fudge a try this winter- and Burt's mulled wine. Do yourself a favour and invest in some of Sefton's novels. You won't regret it.
